Per-week targets and rest

Vary sets, reps, load, and rest across weeks, with a "same for all weeks" fallback.

Every exercise in PTdash has one or more rows, where each row is a group of sets (single, multiset, stripping, combo). Each row has one column per week, so you can change sets, reps, load, or rest independently for each week.

What you can set per week

  • Sets × reps — a plain number, a range (8–12), or "max".
  • Intensity — RM, RPE, BUF, percentage of one-rep max, or a plain load in kg/lb.
  • Rest — seconds between sets, per week.

Every row also has a target-weight chip that shows an exact load for a given week. You don't type this yourself: it appears when you accept a Next-week suggestion and applies to the week it was proposed for. If you don't want it, clear it from the chip in the editor.

Same for all weeks

Most of the time you want the same numbers across weeks. Two things make that painless:

  • Auto-duplicate — a toggle in the top-right of the session editor, on by default. When it's on, typing a value in week 1 fills the same value into the weeks to its right that were empty or matched the old value. Turn it off when you want each week edited by hand.
  • Row default for rest — each row has a default rest at the bottom of the row. Any week without its own rest reads the default. Set it once and forget it, or override single weeks when the plan changes.

Copying a scheme

If two exercises share the same weekly scheme, use Export progression on the first and Import on the second — the entire week-by-week structure copies across in one step.
