Next-week progression suggestions

Turn last week's performance into next week's targets in one tap.

After the client finishes a session, PTdash reads what they actually did and offers you a next-week suggestion for every exercise. You review, adjust, and send — no spreadsheets.

How to use it

  1. Open the client's program and pick the session you want to progress.
  2. Tap Propose next week. PTdash lists each exercise with a proposed status: Increase, Hold, or Below range: your call.
  3. Review the proposals. Adjust anything you disagree with — the target load, the reps, or skip an exercise.
  4. Tap Apply. The proposals become the target for next week.
  5. Preview and send the program.

What the engine looks at

  • The last performed session for that exercise.
  • The current week's prescription — sets, reps target, RIR or percentage.
  • Whether the client hit or missed the target reps.
  • Whether the exercise is a range prescription (like 8–12 reps).

If the client stayed in range with reps to spare, you'll see Increase. If they landed at the top of the range, Hold. If they missed the range, Below range: your call — the engine steps back and asks you.

What it skips

Some prescriptions don't lend themselves to a simple next-step suggestion. The engine sits them out and shows the reason:

  • Set group — multiple sets with different targets (like stripping).
  • Timed exercise — planks and holds.
  • AMRAP — max reps sets.

You still edit those weeks by hand.

When there's nothing to propose

If the client hasn't performed the session yet, or the program has no sent sessions, the panel shows an empty state. The engine needs at least one completed session to work with.
